During the Russian occupation the East German military manufactured drysuits based on the ‘Cumberband’ dry suits from Pirelli and Siebe Gorman.
This suit is one of the last ones ever made, in fact I was the first one to unfold it: it was packed and stored as how it came from the factory. Due to bad storage conditions the black rubber entry tunnels at the trousers and jacket have dry cracks in them. These dry places are only there where the rubber has been in contact with light and oxygen, most of it is still in good condition. An extra jacket-entry tunnel will be provided with this suit to salvage material to repair the entry tunnels. It is the same material as a bicycle tube and it can be easily repaired.
These early suits are rare nowadays. Price for the set as pictured: € 75 plus shipping
